“Everyone who has ever taken a shower has an idea. It’s the person who gets out of the shower, dries off and does something about it who makes a difference.”
How true is this! I know a lot of people who value the shower, for it is a quiet place, a place where one’s singing sounds fantastic, and a great place for ideas. Sitting here drinking coffee, my good friend Destiny even admits, ” It is where I do my best thinking.”
It is like when you go to bed at night and all the worries and extra thoughts flood your head; however, I think the shower is a place for clearer, perhaps more intentional, thoughts. It is this chill time to just let your mind wander. At time to stumble upon some ideas.
Now, I bet you’ve had an idea or two in the shower yourself. Possibly, you jumped a little at the realization and nearly slipped on some soapy suds in the tub. What did you do with that idea? Do you even remember it? It probably would have been a good idea to write it down, right? Even then, have you ever done something about that or any idea?
Don’t let an idea just stay an idea. If you want to make a difference, if you want to be inspirational, do something about those good ideas you have in the shower. In fact, do something about any great idea you have at anytime anywhere.
I’m going to leave you with a quote and ask ” What are you doing about your ideas?”
“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” -Warren G. Bennis
