Your Mattering…

Your Mattering...

“What matters to you defines your mattering”…..

I do believe that what matters to you defines who you are. What you care about, what you invest in, what you are passionate about…. it says a lot about you.

What matters to me: My family, my friends, God, youth, 20 Camp, theatre…. How others feel matters to me. I want them to love live and believe in themselves.

I believe what you care about and invest in can define the impact and impression you leave on the world and others. I don’t know about you, but I want others to be inspired by my mattering. I want to leave a positive impact.

So what matters to you?

Does Fear Hold You Back; Or Push You Forward?

This is an excellent blog post about fear, life, failure, and success. I’d definitely advise reading these thoughts and thinking about your life.
What are you afraid of? Failure? Life? What are you letting hold you back? How are you living your life?
Just thoughts to ponder today.

P.S. I believe in you.

What holds you back in life? I’m held back by the same thing that holds everyone back; Fear. I’m afraid of failure. I’m afraid of rejection. I’m afraid of those who deny my dream. What if this doesn’t work? What if I fall on my face? What if every person who said, “You won’t make it.” was right? I think these are the same questions that most of us ask ourselves.

How do I overcome my fear? I have to remind myself that fear, is simply a motivator. Fear is  a thing that my mind creates to protect me from something. We fear things like spiders, and snakes, because these things can physically harm us. Since fear is something that my mind creates, then I can control it. All I have to do is remind myself what is truly worth fearing.

What should really be scary to us? We should…

TRUTH!

Failure happens.

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” -Winston Churchill

Again, I say TRUTH.

I hope this motivates you. Inspires you, Encourages you.

You can succeed. TRUTH.

I Can. You Can.

I Can. You Can.

What are you letting stand in your way?
What are your excuses?

Trust me, I can. You can.

So what are you going to do?

A Lost Generation?

I’ve always loved this video ever since I saw it sometime in high school. To be honest, I believe in the generations I see. The youth I see all around me. I know the world seems to be in a tough place. Society and life has those unpleasant rough edges. And I know that the view of the younger generations can be negative. Quit being a pessimist!

“You must not loose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” -Mahatma Gandhi

Let these generations know that someone believes in them. That they are capable of so much. Be inspiring. Be motivating. Be encouraging. Just be supportive.

Invest in this generation because they are the future. You know, they are your legacy.

A lost generation? What are your thoughts?

August Goals

I believe it is very important to have goals that one is working towards. Plus, I’ve some people in my life who are really good influences about such matters–always motivating, always encouraging.

Therefore, I have a bucket list. I even have a summer bucket list. Well, now I have goals just for August, and I thought I’d share them.

My August Goals:

Image

  • Blog at least 5 days each week

  • Read 1 leadership book

  • Finish my summer bucket list

  • Work my way up to running 2.5 miles

  • Brain-dump every night

  • Get in the habit of a to-do list again

  • Definitely spend more time in prayer/listening to God

These are my goals in August, and I’ll make sure to provide an update at the end of the month.

Do you have any goals? For this year, this season, this month? What are your August goals?

Staying Inspired

I was browsing through pinterest, like I

Image

normally do when I’ve nothing else better to do or when I’m procrastinating, and i came across this inspiring pin. I agree with these twelve tips and definitely encourage others to apply them to their lives; in fact, I plan on applying these tips to my own life. I’m making it an August Goal.

I believe incorporating these tips in one’s life should decrease stress and increase happiness. As I write this blog, I’m already pretty excited to start on these tips which I’ll start on tomorrow by the way. It can’t hurt. If anything, it will help my semester of busyness run smoother.

Anyways, I just thought I’d share this pin to provide some inspiration to those who may be bogged down and in need of it.

What do you do to stay inspired?
